A Message from the President: Ready for Summer and What’s Ahead
Dear Members,
As we head into the summer season, I want to take a moment to reflect on the exciting
momentum we’ve built together this year and share a look at what’s coming next for The WICT
Network: Midwest.
We recently hosted a well-attended AI Prompt Writing 101 session, where members gained a
focused overview of how to design clear, effective prompts and get more accurate, consistent
results from AI tools. It was energizing to see so many people interested in learning practical
new skills and exploring how emerging technology can support us in our day-to-day work.
We’re also looking forward to the kickoff of our Mentoring Program. Mentorship continues to
be one of the most valuable ways we connect, learn and grow as a chapter. Whether you’re
participating as a mentor or mentee, this program offers a meaningful opportunity to build
relationships, share experiences and support one another’s professional journeys.
And there’s even more ahead: our Premier Management Development Series begins
in May and will run through October. This signature program continues to be an incredible
resource for developing leaders, strengthening skills and creating space for personal and
professional growth. I’m excited for another inspiring season of learning and leadership
development.
With the summer months ahead, I hope you have fun in all of your plans—but don’t forget to
keep an eye out for our upcoming Summer Kick-Off networking events happening across our
chapter. These gatherings are always a great way to reconnect, meet new faces and enjoy
some well-deserved fun with fellow members.
I also hope you take time to enjoy the beautiful weather and fresh air. Summer has a way of
reminding us to step back, recharge and make room for joy alongside all the busy schedules.
As for me, I’ll be heading to Florida this year… and yes, my rodent ears, magic bands, and
Hokas are packed. I’m preparing for sunshine, snacks, a little pixie dust and just enough
motion sickness prevention to keep the magic alive. If all goes according to plan, I’ll return with
great memories, too many photos and absolutely no regrets about my theme park snack
decisions.
Thank you for being part of The WICT Network: Midwest and for continuing to make this
chapter such a vibrant, supportive community. I’m grateful for each of you and look forward to
all the ways we’ll connect in the months ahead.
Warmly,
Kate Moore
President, The WICT Network: Midwest
