Tech It Out is a cutting-edge celebration of new technologies, innovation, STEM and Student Outreach, leadership, expert speakers, and influential technology Leaders in the Midwest Region.

Claire L. Evans is a writer and musician. She is the singer and coauthor of the Grammy-nominated pop group YACHT, the founding editor of Terraform, VICE’s science-fiction vertical, and the author of Broad Band: The Untold Story of the Women who Made the Internet (Penguin Random House, 2018).
She is a contributor to VICE, Rhizome, The Guardian, WIRED, the Los Angeles Review of Books, Document Journal, Eye on Design, Quartz, OneZero, and Aeon. She is a faculty advisor to graduate design students at Art Center College of Design. She lives in Los Angeles.
Lisa Schoenthaler, Vice President & Senior Policy Counsel, Government Relations at NCTA, comes back to give us an update on DC happenings after the transition into the Joseph Biden and Kamala Harris administration; from a telecommunications perspective.
Stacey Higginbotham is the creator and co-host of the weekly Internet of Things Podcast and the StaceyonIoT newsletter and website. She has been covering technology for major publications for 20 years. She is an expert when it comes to the internet of things and technology in general. Her work has appeared in Fortune (where she was Senior Editor), PCMag, MIT Tech Review, Gigaom and Worth magazine. She is also a co-host on This Week in Google and a columnist for IEEE Spectrum.
